Mallard Lake is a beautiful lake about 4 1/2 miles from Old Faithful (In Yellowstone National Park). We backpacked in an stayed the night right on the shoreline in this very peaceful setting. There was the occasional beaver and of course mallard duck, but other than that we had the place all to ourselves.
